The rolling programme of sending out the walks every 2 months has so far maintained a vibrant programme. Inevitably there are always some gaps in the programme.   Please do look at your diary to see if you can help to fill one of the missing walks. Contact Diana or Peter on your next walk or by e-mail at or

If you think you might like to lead a walk for the first time but maybe don't feel confident enough to try:

§ We now have a printed collection of walks available for new  (and old) leaders to use.

§ We also have experienced leaders who are more than willing to help out with planning and leading a walk and accompany new leaders.

Just email us on the above address or phone one of the Committee.

Basecamp  'On-line Walks Programme system'
If you are a walk leader and haven't joined Basecamp yet, please contact and an invitation to join will be sent to you.

Hopefully you will find this on-line 'Walks Calendar' useful in seeing what dates are available for your walks. You can then enter your walk details onto the system yourself, securing your walk date. Basecamp also alerts you by e-mail of walks booked by other leaders and keeps you advised of other walk related activities and images of Beachy Head Ramblers.

Some members with smart phones have found this mapping app very useful when planning and leading walks. We would like to know if there are walk leaders who would like to use the app when they are planning walks - if so, we might be able to help with some funding towards it.

If anybody has any ideas for themed walks, or places of special interest where they would like to walk, please let us know.  All suggestions are welcome.

The majority of members now receive their programme and newsletter by email.  In recent newsletters we asked members to inform the membership secretary if they wanted to receive their printed programme by post. If you are not on email please remember to do so if you wish to continue receiving a programme!
